Pony Bugs

I take care of Pony bugs. How cool is that? Their names are: Venus is the mom, Moon is the oldest, Sun is the second oldest, Star is the third oldest, and Pluto is the youngest.

I also have Pony bugs without wings, but that's a whole other story. I help by taking care of Pony bugs. Feeding them nectar from outside flowers. They have meet Nathan's starwars character before. The four children Pony Bugs can be sometimes difficult to control. They fly all over the house and bump into walls and then they fall down. Then I have to pick them up and put them back in their cage. The mom tries to tell her children to not go anywhere, but to stay with her.
I did one video talking about Pony Bugs. They have special bells for waking up, breakfast, lunch, dinner, predators, and coming back at night. Their predators are birds, owls, and all different kinds of birds.

One time Venus was out with her children having a nice fly, when a predator came up and tried to snatch Moon away. But too bad, I accidentally flicked it in the head, which made the bird really mad. But too bad it was so smaller than me. It flew back to it's babies and got a worm instead.

Golf Fun on My Birthday

Last Friday was my birthday. Me and my Dad went to the driving range aka golf range. Also, my Dad taught me a little bit about how to play golf. At first I was kind of bad, but Dad told me that I shouldn't crouch down so much, and I made it to 100 yards. When my Dad took a couple shots I was impressed. He made it to at least 175 yards.

In this picture you see me finishing off when I hit a golf ball.
It was so much fun. Also, on my fifth shot I hit a direct grounder. It vibrated my club, so it hurt.

These two race cars are my cakes. Also, I asked my mom to make a race car cake because I wanted to go to the Go Karts, but it wasn't opened. We thought it was cause it said so.

When I blew out my candles I made one blow and they were out! When I did that I just thought of simple physics. Just get at the right angle. By the way, my wish didn't come true. Next year, I would like to have my family and me go somewhere really special. What would you want for your next birthday?

Pumpkin Patch of Fun

On Monday we went to the Apple orchard for a field trip.
First we, picked for a apple, a juicy apple. I looked for the perfect one, way up top and I had to jump for it. And it was red and juicy and shiny as can be.

"Oh, Apple, apple, apple
I picked it from a tree,
it was red and shiny and juicy as can be."

Then we got pumpkins. I looked for pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.

I wanted a pumpkin like a monster and round like an egg.
I looked and looked for a beautiful pumpkin that was nice and orange. And I was looking and searching and keeping my eyes peeled. Then I found it! It was a perfect pumpkin air.

Mommy helped me find the perfect pumpkin.
I was happy that mommy came with me.

Then I was surprised and I saw mommy's van. Then I said, "Mommy's coming, mommy's coming, I saw her van."

There was a huge pumpkin and it made my muscles sprout and shine for the world. It was big and fat and it was so big that I couldn't even pick it up, not even mommy or daddy or grandpa could pick it up and I thought it was God's. And my picture was perfect.

It was my funnest day!

My Poem

MaryLynn found out that I was writing a poem for a contest and she decided to join me. The assignment is to write a poem about this photo. Enjoy her poem.

Golden Shimmery Light

I play on the Merry-Go-round
as the fire on the round ball sets.
It gleams and glows pink and red.
It looks like a pretty rainbow.
Thunder, my horse, is attached to the
glowing Merry-go-Round.
Through the clouds I see lots of diamonds.
They are so sparkly and clear.
The moon begins to rise as the sun
begins to melt.
The birds fly back to their nests to
protect their babies and eggs.
The golden light shimmers as I
struggle to get off the ride.
The conductor helps me.
I am at the nearest gate. I run to my
mom and hug her as tight as I can.

Fuzzy Green/Yellow Caterpillar

(image from Barefootkitchenwitch.com)
On Friday, I found this on the sidewalk when I was walking. And it was yellowish, greenish and very very fuzzy. And it was also a moth caterpiller. We took it into Mrs Wold (JJ's teacher) and she said it was a moth caterpillar. She asked if I would like to call Mr Wold- he is a scientist about caterpillars. So we called him, and he said it was a moth caterpillar. He asked if it was white and we said no. He asked if it was green and we said yes. He asked if it was yellow and we said yes. Then he said if it was greenish/ yellowish and we said yes. He said it wouldn't bite if we didn't bother it too much.
So we put it in a bug cage and gave it some leaves to eat. When he found a leaf, he made a pillow out of one by bonking his head on the leaf and then cuddling into a leaf by using it like a wubby (blanket). When danger came, he put another leaf on top of him. And all of us in our classroom, discovered it and wrote down about it on a piece of paper. I wrote it down in words. But Mrs Wold said she had to keep it, so I don't have it.
At the end of the day, we let it go.
And Mrs. Wold said that's enough for the day about playing with the caterpillar.

Cheetahs, and Tigers, Oh, My

Grandma made us some costumes. JJ was funny when we took pictures. We cut off the nose because we didn't like it. Then we took pictures. That was when JJ was funny. Her tail was going crazy on one picture.

And she was doing funny poses.
I was acting like a real tiger.
JJ was a leopard. After that I finally got her to pounce.

I was waiting for the costumes since Tuesday. They finally got here on Saturday. I was so happy. We even slept in them last night. They were comfy!

After we took pictures we went outside and played with Nathan. We cleaned up so that we could play in our tiger costumes. Nathan was an explorer in the game. JJ was the baby leopard. I had to fetch her three pieces of meat. She ate the whole buffalo though. I ate half of the buffalo. I took the bones and put them in the refrigerator for dessert. In our game the tiger and Leopard had a refrigerator. It was made out of stones. It was way up on the wall. After that we got in the bathtub. I forgot all about the soccer clothes that I wore to the game yesterday. It was a tie.

My first Soccer Game

Guess what, my first soccer game was today!

I was surrounded by five players and somehow, I have no idea why, I just kicked it and I was so close to making a goal!

I loved it, except that the referee didn't see when the Blue players pushed me with their hands.

In the next picture, it will show you what I looked like when I try to make a goal. See me, I'm #10 in the white.

I found out that one of my friends was on the blue team and she was a girl and she played for a couple of years and it turned out that I was better than her.

You should really try playing soccer, it is tiring, but it is really fun!
